A TV channel where nothing much happens

How it works

The views

Every view is a live stream from a public YouTube channel, played with YouTube's own player. We pick views that are calm, steady and interesting at 3am. The streams and everything in them belong to the people who run those channels.

The sound

Choose the live audio, or a soundscape made right in your browser: rain, waves or brown noise. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is recorded.

The weather

Local temperature and conditions come from Open-Meteo, updated every 15 minutes.

A color for every hour

Moods change through the day, and so does the light outside. boring.tv does too. Its colors follow the clock: blue at midnight, pink at dawn, gold in the late afternoon. In the player they follow the city you're watching, so Tokyo at 3am looks like 3am.

Why "boring"?

Because most of the internet is trying hard to keep you busy. This is the opposite: something real, somewhere else, quietly going on.
