Privacy

boring.tv is built to collect as little as possible.

What stays on your device

Your chosen mood, sound, volume, saved rooms and any streams you add are kept in your browser's local storage. We never see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Video

Streams are played with YouTube's player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player.

Weather

To show local weather your browser asks Open-Meteo for the conditions at each camera's location. Your own location is never sent.

Analytics

We do not run analytics.

Payments and email

If you buy Pro, payment is handled by Stripe, which receives your email and payment details. Your browser keeps a reference to the payment so boring.tv can check with Stripe, about once a week, that your plan is still active. If you join the newsletter, our email provider stores your address until you unsubscribe.
